THE PROCESS

We begin the process with a complimentary consultation at mutual location to discuss your event and ideas, and to share some printed samples. If it is easier for you, the initial consultation can take place over the phone or via e-mail. Within 2 weeks after discussing the details, we will provide an estimate for the design and printing.

We spend roughly 3 weeks designing the initial concepts and 1-2 weeks working with you to refine your selection. Printing takes 2-3 weeks, depending on your preferred technique. Our fee includes 3 concepts, along with 3 rounds of revisions to the design you choose. If you require changes to the design after 3 rounds, we will charge a fee of $50 per additional round.

THE SCHEDULE

Ideally, your initial consultation should occur 6-8 months before the event. Starting the process early ensures that you have enough time to make design decisions, and to secure a spot in our schedule.

Save the Date mailing recommendations

• 10-12 months for a holiday or destination wedding

• 6-8 months for a local event

Invitation mailing recommendations

• 6-8 weeks for a wedding

• 4-6 weeks for a party or shower

SAYING "I DO!"

Once you accept the package estimate, we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit to start designing.

FINAL APPROVAL

Before your invitation is printed, you will receive a “final proof” as a PDF via email. We can also mail a printed proof for you to approve ink color and paper stock. At that time, you will review and confirm that every detail is perfect: the layout, wording, typestyle, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Once you have confirmed approval in writing, Queen Bee Paperie is not responsible for future changes or errors.
